 It occurred to me the other day that my blog may require more of an insight into how each of my images are conceived/produced. This image was taken in interesting circumstances, most of my work is created whilst waiting.... I am always too busy with the "mundane" and the usual rigmarole of life, to set out and take compositional work. As frustrating as this may be, I have developed an amazing ability to be able to take what is in front of me and transfer a sense of attitude into the piece....

Traffic management/roadwork taking forever.....meets boredom......meets me, hanging out of my car window with my handy LUMIX to shoot the nearest tree.

I just loved this portrait...Why? Well, why is the sky blue? Why cant I fly to Jupiter on a rhinoceros? Why are we here? Why are we doing this? Why cant I juggle or whistle for that matter? The questions are endless and her expression is priceless, What more could I ask for???....hmmm now just let me think on that one for a while :)

This shoot was completely freezing!!! I am working here on detail and depth of field it was difficult enough to try to keep my fingers and hands from shaking. I am very happy with my little friends magnum opus :)

Nature provides the most beautiful silhouettes on a foggy Autumn morning in the country, the stark trees against the fog bordered with the warmth of the blanket of grass beneath.....

Cattitude!

He certainly has attitude. But such silken fur the texture in his portraits makes me  want to reach out and touch the image. This was my intention with this composition. I also think the contrast of his green eyes with the purple/pink blanket and his green eyes helps to balance this image.

Hope is coming for me

Testing my creativity with silhouette against sunshine, post processing minimal.

Body Parts

This photograph was a difficult capture for me the portrait of three girls in sync and in motion while skipping. I was most happy with the shadow effect underneath each of their feet, giving the image a sense of them floating above the floor of the gym.

Pattern

I love finding patterns that are found in nature. This Echeveria gives a repetition that the eye can follow, pattern in photographs can give the picture a balance or rhythm that the eye can follow. The colour in this capture also encourages the eye to follow the rosette pattern as the shadows of the leaves bring the pattern to the fore. 

I have been creating a set on my Flickr page on perspective looking through windows. This picture creates an interesting perspective through the use of depth of field, tension, and contrast.
